Hi- I happily recommend Dr. Sher and his team. He came recommended to me by my sister after I had a negative experience with another clinic close by me. I didn’t think I wanted to travel to attempt to freeze embryos/eggs but it ended up being a better choice to go with a better Dr and team. My negative experience with my previous clinic had to do with not having much access to the doctor, the process dragging out for about a year and which ultimately culminated with them pausing the process due to my weight which had never previously been communicated to me as an issue. When I switch to Dr. Sher, he gave out his personal cell and encouraged calls for questions, he laid out a clear timeline which everything happened within a couple months, and my weight wasn’t an issue for the procedure.
My husband and I had been trying to conceive for several years. I had been diagnosed with endometriosis and recurrent pregnancy loss. We had been to multiple fertility clinics over the years without success. We were ready to quit the whole process when I was talking to a colleague and they suggested Dr. Sher as their son and daughter in law were able to get get pregnant after years of trying. We decided to set up a consultation, and we spent over an hour on zoom discussing every detail from the last several years of treatment. We had never spent that long with a physician. He then sent a detailed protocol in an email that evening for us to review! Not only was Dr. Sher absolutely wonderful, his staff is amazingly sweet, understanding, and very responsive. I had never experienced a clinic like this. He did a completely different protocol for the egg retrial and the transfer. We had our egg retrieval in March and then we for our first transfer in June. We are so happy to say that our first transfer was a success! We will be forever grateful to Dr. Sher and his staff for giving us our miracle!
I am 40 yo, TTC for 2.5 years, have had 1 miscarriage after natural conception. I was a patient at CCRM Denver/LoneTree, where I did 4 IUI cycles with Clomid, and 1 IVF cycle. In my last IVF cycle with CCRM, we retrieved 11 mature eggs, resulting in 6 blastocysts, but all were aneuploid. I was devastated. When we regrouped with our RE at CCRM, she said there was nothing about my protocol that she would change, and that I “just didn’t win the genetic lottery.” I was frustrated and extremely disappointed. I suspected something about the cycle was compromising my egg quality, so I started doing my research on stim protocol effecting egg quality.
I heard Dr. Geoffrey Sher on a few podcasts, and he spoke about how every woman should receive an individualized protocol based on her history and profile. I reached out to the wonderful Patti Converse, who was responsive, empathetic and supportive. Patti was able to expedite a Zoom call with Dr. Sher, and my husband and I spent 75 minutes with Dr. Sher discussing my background and previous protocols (I don’t even think my previous RE spent a total of an hour with me after 4 IUIs and 1 IVF cycle). Over the course of our 1 hour 15 min call, Dr. Sher very clearly explained to us his perspective, his approach, and how Clomid is not an appropriate medication in my case. We discussed what our potential protocol would be with Dr. Sher, and he gave us his personal cell phone and encouraged us to call with any questions. A few weeks later, I called Dr. Sher’s cell phone when I had some questions about the pro’s and con’s of PGS testing. He spent 20 minutes discussing PGS/PGT-A testing with me, patiently answering my questions and concerns.
We moved forward with an IVF cycle with Dr. Sher in New York, where he did my monitoring appointments, measuring each follicle himself over the course of 4 days. The time, attention and quality of care w/ Dr. Sher was totally different than my previous clinic. We retrieved 8 mature eggs, resulting in 4 blastocysts and ALL were eulpoid/normal!!!! When Dr. Sher called to tell me the news, he was genuinely overjoyed and I was in tears. He is truly an expert in the field, but more importantly, he is a caring and communicative practitioner. I am also extremely grateful for the care team. Our nurse, Cecilia, has been absolutely wonderful to work with, and everyone in the office is so warm and friendly. I have had a phenomenal experience with Sher Fertility, and now we get to move into our transfer calendar – with a very strong chance at building our family. Thank you, Dr. Sher, for helping us bring our rainbow babies into the world. We are so happy and so excited.
I began my IVF journey the beginning of 2020 after trying to get pregnant for 2 years where I had zero success. I started here in Las Vegas with a fertility doc and went through the whole process… the retrieval and then onto the transfers. I had 2 transfers and both failed. Embryos didn’t even try to implant. After talking about the next steps with this doctor and I learned that she wouldn’t change up the process and just keep on trying the same things. From that point on, I knew I needed a different opinion. I was recommended to Dr. Sher from 2 different people in my life during this time. One of them was an actual patient of Dr. Sher’s who has a 9 year old son now and the other was a friend of Dr. Sher’s colleague. I decided to do a consultation with Dr. Sher to just see what he has to say. After getting him my medical records from my previous doctor, he looked over everything and had a plan. The plan he had was sooo different and more detailed than my previous doctor. He wanted to do more test to rule out anything first and to know how to approach the situation with what my husband and I had going on internally. Everything he was saying made sense to me. After that initially talk with Dr. Sher, my husband and I signed up with him and we’re excited to try his different approach. We found out sooo much more information with Dr. Sher than with our previous doctor. He told us that my husband had too many antibodies in his sperm that it was impossible to get pregnant on our own which the last doctor never mentioned. He also told me I had over activated NK cells in my uterus to where the embryos couldn’t implant inside the uterus which my last doctor didn’t even test me for!!!!! And on top of that, my AMH level did not match my age so we needed to move fast on getting those eggs out. Dr. Sher reassured us and said all these things are fixable and can work with this but just needing to act fast bc my egg quality was diminishing. With all these known factors, Dr. Sher came up with a protocol for me. After feeling defeated with the last doctor, Dr. Sher gave me hope and never gave up. After 3 retrievals and on my 6th transfer, I finally got my first HCG numbers on the board!!! Dr. Sher tried different things until something worked! I have gotten my first positive pregnancy test EVER at age 35! It feels so surreal bc I was losing hope. Dr. Sher never gave up on me and told me this isn’t over yet. I’m crying as I’m writing this bc I was almost at that point of giving up and thinking this wasn’t in the cards for me. I can’t thank Dr. Sher and his staff enough for getting me and my husband this far. I know I’m still not out of the weeds yet with a second beta test and getting through that first trimester but today is huge step for me. My body is finally doing something now to where I have hope!!! Thank you Dr. Sher, Patti, Cecilia, Marian, Bushra and staff for making this all happen and being one step closer of having a family into a reality! Hugs
We are currently in the middle of IVF treatment with Dr. Sher and we’ve had an exceptional experience with him and his team so far. Prior to working with Dr. Sher, I had a few consultations with other doctors. I was quickly dismissed as an easy case because I’m young, healthy and have high egg reserves. Dr. Sher took nearly an hour to go through my health history with me and identified a problem that other doctors were quick to overlook. He sent me for extensive follow-on testing, again something other doctors were not willing to do, which helped us feel comfortable moving forward with IVF. My two favorite things about Dr. Sher are that he is very good about being available for questions or concerns (I’ve called his cell phone many times) and he does the in-person monitoring prior to the procedure himself, so it was always very clear how he felt we were progressing as we went through the process. I also want to note his nursing team in NY is exceptional everyone we encountered was kind, knowledgeable, responsive and so helpful in terms of guiding us through this delicate process. In working with Dr. Sher, he proved to us that his experience in this space is unrivaled and we’re hopeful that our IVF experience with him will result in achieving our family goals!
Twenty-one years ago, I consulted with your office after being turned away from the first doctor I saw for IVF and after consulting with another practice whose doctor told me that it would be like whipping a dead horse to get me pregnant. Refusing to give up and give in, I did my research and came across Dr. Sher. I called, explained my situation, had my medical records forwarded to your office, and within weeks, Dr. Sher himself made a phone call to me personally. We spoke on the phone for 30 minutes and he told me I would never get pregnant doing what the other doctor had been doing. After our conversation, he sent me a letter outlining exactly what he thought needed to be done in order for me to get pregnant. I took that letter to another doctor and showed them the letter and said this is what I want to do. I had the insurance to pay for this, I was actually carrying two insurance policies to cover the procedure and medicines. I told her of my experience with the first office and how I should be the one to make the decision of when I wanted to give up on my desire to get pregnant. She agreed and we followed Dr. Sher’s instructions. I got pregnant my second cycle. A true miracle! The doctor told me that I was in a medical blue book because at the time, no amount of Follistum had been administered to a woman going through IVF. So, I cannot thank Dr. Sher enough for the gift he gave me. I have my beautiful daughter solely because he cared enough to listen and had the expertise in the field of infertility to make my pregnancy a possibility. He’s a saint! I would gladly give a review of Dr. Sher and his practice.
Where do I begin? Sean and I will never be able to put into words how much you have helped us in such a short period of time, and how you solved missing pieces to our puzzle. We came to you in January, lost, upset, angry and confused and now we leave you hopeful, excited and parents to be. After two miscarriages, two retrievals, two failed transfers, many procedures and surgery, you somehow looked at our story, made changes, found answers we were desperate for and made our third transfer the “third times a charm”. Your expertise, patience, availability and caring personality is beyond. Thank you for everything you do! We will always be grateful for you, and someday we will explain to our little one how much you helped us become a family. You are the best of the best, and I know we will be back one day! Until then…
I cannot recommend Dr. Tortoriello and his team at Sher more highly. Dr. T is an excellent doctor, very kind, compassionate, patient, always listens to what you have to say including answering many questions during each visit, is very responsive to e-mails, and did not let us give up hope after being unable to conceive after about 5 years and a few IVF attempts. The nurses and staff at Sher, including Cecilia and Bushra, also could not have been more helpful and compassionate. After a failed IVF attempt Dr. T recommended we consult with a reproductive immunologist (as he suspected the issue was autoimmune) and they worked together on our case. Not long after that and in my 40s I became pregnant with our son, who is now a few months old. There was so much joy and many tears at hearing the heartbeat on the monitor after so long and then meeting our little guy when he was born. Thank you Dr. T and team for helping to bring our son into the world!
Dr. Sher & Patti,
Here I am again, writing a review a few months after! I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve at a younger age. A previous fertility specialist told me that my chances of having healthy eggs were slim. He also told me that he would not invest time into me for more than 1-2 IVF rounds because he did not need my money as he thought I was wasting my time. He did not feel I had a good chance of having my own biological child. He pushed an egg donor on me before even starting IVF. IVF was not successful with him and the protocols he was using. He was not supportive nor did he believe in me. I had a gut feeling that I was meant to be a mother and I needed to expand my journey. I felt that I needed to find the right fertility specialist.
When I met Dr. Sher, he was warm and positive. He looked at my results and he told me that he could help me. He believed in me! It was a little nerve wracking to take a leap of faith and fly to a different country and try a different protocol. His protocol is tailored to women with this condition and it is not cookie cutter. It is very specific. His protocol is based on years of experience and he believes in what he does. After working with him, I realize that many protocols for diminished ovarian reserve are cookie cutter and compromise eggs than help them.
I did one round of IVF with him and boy did he deliver! I ended up with 4 healthy embryos. I went from being told I would probably never have a biological child to a failed IVF to meeting Dr. Sher and he gave me 4 healthy embryos!
Dr. Sher is very talented and he has a big heart. This man truly is in your corner rooting for you and he never wants you to stress. He would tell me “Don’t stress, that’s my job!”. He makes you feel completely comfortable to call him anytime you need him. He truly wants to help you have a baby. You can have complete faith in him that he will try his very best to help you. His team in NY at SFS is great. All the nurses and staff are so welcoming and warm. They go above and beyond to help you.
Patti, Dr. Sher’s right hand, is absolutely wonderful. She is very personable and she is right next to him cheering you on. She will help you with anything and she is the kindest. She gets excited for you every step of the way. They were both next to one another when they called me with the good news and told me they wished they could reach out and give me a hug. Everyone was happy!
This journey is very hard and emotional as anyone reading this would know. However, I would never go anywhere else and would follow Dr. Sher and his team across the world if I had to. They have made my journey so much better.

Just couldn’t let a day go by without expressing my gratitude and sincere thanks to the amazing Dr. Drew and his team for their dedication to my personal care 5 years ago as a 45 year old Mom-to-be! Our Daughter is our world and we’re so blessed that Dr. Drew and his team cared for us on our journey. We highly recommend Dr. Drew and his team!

Dear Dr. Sher,
Shauna and I wanted to write to you and let you know how grateful we are to have met you. You along with Patti are amazing people and we thank you for all your help over the past three years.
As you know our journey started in Chicago with many different doctors. After three years of many, many rounds of IVF with well over 100 eggs retrieved, 12 transfers and no success, we knew we had to look in another direction.
In our research we found you. After three years of great disappointment and not much hope, we were skeptical to start over with a new team, but at that point we really didn’t have many other options.
From the time we meet you on our first online video call, we felt that you were genuine, showed great interest in helping us and presented an honest approach that you would try your best to help us have a child of our own. You did an amazing job of reviewing our history and providing treatment plans. From a distance, you were able to coordinate testing and provide feedback after all of our rounds.
After three years of many miscarriages and no luck at all, we were broken, hurt and very tired. Other doctors told us to look into gestational surrogacy or adopt, because we would never be able to have a child together. You recommended one embryo transfer at a time because of our alloimmune immunologic implantation issue. So, we decided to go back and do one final transfer in April 2021. If we didn’t have any success, it was going to be time for us to give up for good. It had just been too long and hard of a road for us.
Well, here we are today, December 15, 2021. Whether it was your protocol over the couple years of treatment or just the luck of the angels up above, you helped give us the gift of a family. We sit here in the maternity suite of our local hospital waiting for our little baby girl to arrive. You helped make our dream of having a child come true. We will never forget you and the insight you provided. You were compassionate, and honest. Christmas 2020 we were siting in a hotel room hoping and praying for a miracle and now on Christmas 2021 we will be home with our brand new baby girl.
Please share our story with others that may be experiencing a difficult and hopeless journey. We hope our story inspires them. Never give up, have a great medical team, keep a solid support system close and pray. It only takes 1 embryo to give the gift of life.
From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You for everything.

My sister used Dr. Sher and had nothing but good things to say about him, so when I heard he was still taking on cases, I reached out after 4 failed IVF cycles with my previous doctor. I immediately knew from quick and easy conversations with Patti and Dr. Sher that he was the doctor for me. Dr. Sher is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and always makes you feel like you are special. His support staff are super knowledgeable as well and always kept me updated on my progress.
Although our first cycle with Dr. Sher was unsuccessful, it was an easy decision to continue working with Dr. Sher for our next cycle. He brings extra hope in our journey of building a family.
I’ve had a brilliant first interaction with Dr Sher and his amazing P.A, the wonderful Patti. Patti went out of her way to ensure that Dr Sher called us at a time that worked for us given the time difference. Dr Sher was (it goes without saying) extremely knowledgeable and built a rapport quickly. He was able to pinpoint what has gone wrong with my previous four cycles and very helpfully suggested changes for the next cycle including emailing me suggestions. We are based in the Middle East and following our interaction with Dr Sher, we would love for him to work alongside our doctor to help us fulfill our dreams. He had so much experience and knowledge and speaking to him has given me hope again after what has been a long and difficult journey! So thank you, and thank you Patti for making the process so seamless.
We just wanted to send a note to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and express how much we appreciate everything you have done for us. From our first video consult to our transfer, we always felt so confident in you and knew that this would finally be our time. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the care you gave us and for giving us our success story. Our Baby is 16 weeks along now and we truly could not be happier.
Happy New Year and all the best in 2022 to you and your family

Happy New Year and all the best in 2022 to you and your family
If we do not chat prior, I want to wish you a very happy new year!! My husband and I are beyond grateful for your help the other day. You have been wonderful and we can’t get over how awesome the service is to patients. As we discussed before, we are not used to this lol. The Sher team goes above and beyond. You and Dr. Sher are lovely people.
Thank you so much for helping us out. We cannot thank you enough.
Have a happy new year and I hope 2022 brings you much happiness and joy!
I highly recommend Dr.T and SIRM. Dr.T and his staff are wonderful. He is very kind, knowledgeable, and good human being. We were trying to have a second baby since so long, but didn’t get success. Then we came to know about Dr.T. He listened to us very carefully and guided us accordingly. His staff is also very good, supportive and helpful. Management is so good. I never waited there more than 15 mins to see the doctor. One of the best things is that Dr. T personally replies to your all emails no matter whether it’s a small or big query. Even he supported, guided me after completion of the treatment. Now I am blessed with a baby boy. I would like to Thank Dr. T and his staff from the bottom of my heart.
I sought out Dr. Sher after a failed IVF cycle in San Diego that included 3 FETs with 5 PGS tested normal blastocysts. My doctor, who was a friendly and lovely person, wanted to use the exact same protocol for a second round of IVF as we did for the first. You know what they say about the definition if insanity … doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. After scouring the internet, I came across Dr. Sher and his extensive, readily-available articles on immunological reasons for implantation failure. And he was right there is Las Vegas (well not right there…it was a five hour drive.) But every mile was worth it because after one egg retrieval and one FET (I’ve never done fresh transfers because I am high risk for OHSS), I was pregnant with my daughter who is now a energetic two-year-old!!
Fast-forward to late 2019/ early 2020, I was ready to try for a second baby, and I thought Dr. Sher had retired, because I knew that we were among the last patients he saw. So, I started a new round of IVF with a different doctor, using a protocol similar to the one we used with Dr. Sher. But after two early miscarriages, I was scouring the internet again, only to find out that Dr. Sher’s retirement hadn’t lasted (too many years of knowledge to keep to himself), and he was actually at it again! We are beginning a round of testing to help pinpoint what is going on, though he already has a specific and clearly laid out idea of what he believes is happening.
And that is really the difference between Dr. Sher and the two other doctors we’ve seen: an abundance of information, attention to every detail, an individualized protocol and approach, unparalleled communication (he gives you his personal number), and me being left with the feeling that he is actually listening.
I found Dr. Sher after spending nearly 4 years spinning my wheels with secondary infertility, IVF, recurrent pregnancy loss, and failed embryo transfers. We were on the verge of calling it quits before I came across some of his case studies that sounded quite familiar to my medical history and experiences. I reached out to Patti on a whim and gratefully got in quickly for a Skype consult on a cancellation. He had thoroughly reviewed my entire reproductive medical history, which in and of itself felt so very validating. When he said “I suspect I know what your issues are and have seen many cases like this before” I nearly fainted. He recommended testing via reprosource to confirm what he suspected. We conceived unbeknownst to us in the same time period and with the lab results coming back confirming what Dr Sher suspected, we were able to onboard an immune protocol and for the first time after three consecutive losses made it past our first ultrasound. We welcomed our happy healthy baby last year. Having the answers gave me such peace of mind and hope. And now the final piece of our little family is complete.
I’ve had a brilliant first interaction with Dr Sher and his amazing P.A, the wonderful Patti. Patti went out of her way to ensure that Dr Sher called us at a time that worked for us given the time difference.
