Special thank you to Dr. Sher for diagnosing the immune related issue (partial DQ-alpha match, and activated natural killer cells) which was the cause of a prior chemical pregnancy of a euploid embryo with another clinic. The intralipid/prednisone protocol that you had me on until 22 weeks of pregnancy worked and my husband and I are so grateful. As you know my chances of getting pregnant with my own eggs and my husband’s sperm was extremely low given my extremely low ovarian reserve (AMH 0.1), having activated natural killer cells, and my husband and I having an alloimmune disorder (partial DQ-alpha match). We only had 1 euploid embryo in storage prior to coming to Sher (we have 1 more euploid embryo in storage with Sher), and I knew the best chance that I had of pregnancy (approximately 33% for 1 euploid embryo, a very low probability) would be under Dr. Sher’s immune protocol which worked. Special thank you for also taking my calls each time I had an emergency throughout the pregnancy. I did have a short cervix around 21 weeks of pregnancy, and I am so grateful that you advised that I have my cervix stitched closed if my cervix began to shorten too quickly. This was a long journey, and the high risk doctor and my OBGYN realized everything that was at stake (all the fertility treatment) and approved of the cervical cerclage once they knew that your general recommendation (as a pioneer in the field of IVF) was to have my cervix stitched closed. I will be forever grateful to Sher Fertility for everything your team did for me and my husband to have my beautiful and healthy son.

We did multiple IUI and IVF cycles with all failed transfers with a local clinic in Florida. My protocols where the same on every try, no additional testing was provided, I was denied immunology testing (so called “snake oil” by the doctors) as it’s believed immunology issues do not affect fertility (in FL), and my requests/wishes were always dismissed. We transferred our embryos to Sher Fertility in NYC and started the protocol Dr. Sher wrote after my immunology testing.

Our experience preparing and going through the calendar with all the meds (a lot of them) could not have been better. At this point I have not seen anyone, all my protocol, monitoring etc. was handled locally here in FL while the team in NYC made sure everything was in place and I had all the requisitions on hand. I felt the support and care specially from our nurse Irana. She is incredibly smart, meticulous, and available. I felt welcome to reach out with questions and not once they were unanswered.

I had the fortune to talk to Dr. Tortoriello a couple of times before I flew to NYC and saw him for a PRP a couple of days before and at transfer day. Hands down, he is the BEST doctor I have come across in my life. His bedside manner is impeccable. He is extremely gentle and knows what he’s doing…. you will not feel discomfort, pain, stress under his care with procedures you would normally experience them. He handled my transfer with care, professionalism, and not for one second, I felt rushed or out of place. I feel the success of my transfer was due to the great teamwork, experience, and gold standard care of both Dr Sher and Dr. Tortoriello.

We did several IVF cycles with 3 different clinics in the NJ/NY area- each clinic was the same cookie cutter copy of the last: same protocols, same diagnostics, same failed outcomes. Dr. Sher is completely different and the undoubted gold standard. He seeks to understand what is actually going on with your body and treats your situation as unique. He explains everything, and thoroughly discusses why he makes certain choices over others- no question is left unanswered. His protocols are unique and ‘outside of the box’- backed by solid, cutting edge science. This is the first time we have felt truly hopeful in a long time. I wish he was the first doctor in my IVF journey, but am nevertheless so grateful to have found him and I would never go anywhere else.

The support staff and nurses are also fantastic! SUPER responsive and accessible and pleasant to work with. Patti, Dr. Sher’s assistant, is probably one of the most empathetic and caring human beings on earth and I am so grateful for her courtesies. Irana is my assigned nurse, and I always get immediate and thorough answers- nothing falls through the cracks, and she is on top of everything.

My husband and I have been to many IVF clinics on the East Coast without any good outcomes. Someone from one of the woman’s organizations I belong to suggested that I should connect with Dr Sher who I was told was a “ pioneer “ in the field of reproductive medicine. I was able to listen to a podcast he was on and I knew right then and there I needed to schedule an appointment with him!

First step in the process was our conversation with Dr. Sher’s concierge, Patti Converse. She took her time to explain to us, what would it take to become Dr’s Sher patient. We were taken by surprise to learn that once we start working together with Dr. Sher, I would have his personal cell phone number and could call him if I had any questions! Wow!

Our conversation with Patti was like a breath of fresh air. She was kind, compassionate, warm and understood our frustrations.

We actually had our second phone call and to our surprise, Patti was available to chat with us on a Saturday. This was unheard off. She took the time to answer more questions during the weekend. No one has ever even offered that in the past. What an outstanding experience! Words can’t describe how excited I am and looking forward to be speaking with Dr. Sher in the near future.

The first time I have ever learned about Immunologic Implantation Dysfunction was from Dr. Sher. I appreciate that he shares his information and and research so generously with everyone.
