Dr Sher, I was supposed to start IVF in December. My Provera IVF protocol is birth control, followed by stims and antagonist, and trigger with HCG (10,000).
However, I did not get my period (Cycle Day 40 today) and my RE has prescribed Provera to induce the bleed.
Are there any concerns from taking this medication before starting an IVF cycle? I’m 37 with DOR and unexplained infertility. I could not find much from your blog on this.
Provera IVF Protocol
Question
Answer
No real concern at all. However, make certain that you are not pregnant before taking Provera. Do a urine pregnancy test!
